ToDo2Memo

[Version described: 3.0]

The ToDo2Memo application copies the To Do List database, or a Projects database, into a single new Memo Pad database record. This essentially creates a memo containing your To Do List or a Projects list.

The ToDo2Memo program lets you select the items to appear in the memo. You can select the category of To Do List (or Project list) items to be put in the memo: in addition to choosing one category (including Unassigned), you can choose to include all categories. You can choose to include or exclude the item’s due date; this will be the item’s completion date if you choose to “record completion date” in To Do List or Projects. You can choose to include or exclude the text of any note associated with the item. You can choose to include or exclude completed items. Private items are omitted from the memo if private items are currently hidden, represented as “-private-” if private items are currently masked, and included if private items are currently shown. You can change the private items display settings directly from the ToDo2Memo application. Finally, you can set the maximum length of text of the To Do List or Projects item to be copied to the memo. The maximum value, 255, copies the entire item regardless of length.

Checked items are represented with “(X)” before the item text; unchecked items are represented with “().”

This program might be used, for example, to create an “activities accomplished” record in a daily log. One possible way you could do this would be to use ToDo2Memo to create a memo holding the current state of the To Do List, then purge the To Do List. Then you would edit the generated memo, deleting the undone items entirely and removing the “(X)” marking the done items. Then you would cut the list of done items out of the memo and paste it into your daily log.
