[Version described: 5.0]
Due Yesterday is an assignment and grade tracking application for students. It allows you to define the classes you are taking, and to list assignments with due dates by class. Each assignment has a short description, a note, and a due date.
So far, this application sounds like To Do List with “category” renamed to “class.” Due Yesterday differs from To Do List in several areas that make it more useful to students.
You can associate with each class a meeting time and place, a web address, a number of credit hours, teacher information (name, office location, office hours, e-mail address, telephone number), and a note. Additionally, you can assign a grading policy to the class. The grading policy may be category based (homework assignments are worth 25%, etc.) or individual assignment based (this assignment is worth so many points towards the final grade).
Each assignment is associated with a class, and may have a type (homework, test, etc.) associated with it. You can record the grade associated with each assignment. Due Yesterday will then use this information to track your grade based on work to date.
Assignments can also be easily copied to the To Do List or the Date Book, and may have alarms associated with them.
I personally do not use Due Yesterday, as I do not need its grade tracking power. I do, however, make sure my school-age children’s Palm OS devices have it.
