[Version described: 2.0.3]
The Palm OS character set contains a number of characters that cannot be entered in any fashion: through Graffiti, through the on-screen keyboards, or through external keyboards or miniature keyboards. Some of these characters, such as dagger and double dagger, or symbols for the four common card suits, are of limited utility; others, such as ellipsis and en- and em-dash, have wider applicability.
Particularly for formal documents, access to these other characters may be highly desirable. The freeware AsciiChart application simply displays all Palm characters in a chosen font, and lets you copy individual characters into the device’s paste buffer. From there, you can paste the character into its surroundings using the “paste” editing function in the appropriate application.
